My employer needed to add all of its "stuff" and as it turns out it after all teh group policies were added, the network capability was gone. Everything seems to be working now but Window swill not activate. They have tried over and over and are unable to obtain resolution. I now have the laptop and have tried myself.
I have using the command prompt and also ran scanno and DISM to see if there was anything that needed to be repaired. The only solution my employer had was for me to reinstall the original Lenovo OS and then use a virtual desktop application to access everything I need.
Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. They did a clean installation of Enterprise on the network but they were never able to get it authorized. I do understand though that I will need to reinstall the original Lenovo software I have a backup on a flash drive. I re-installed Windows Pro last night. Fortunately I had a restore USB disk form the original Lenovo image because simply restoring with Enterprise installed gave me another version of Enterprise.

Report abuse. Details required :. Cancel Submit. DaveM Independent Advisor. Hi letti, If your licence is for Windows 10 Pro and Windows 10 Enterprise is now installed on that laptop, it is not going to activate as your Licence will not cover that.
If your employer put Enterprise on that laptop, they must provide you with a means of activating your system Otherwise the only way to activate your system is to backup your data, and clean install Windows 10 Pro. In reply to DaveM's post on August 31, They manually entered their own Enterprise key. Is there a conflict with the built in Pro key? Hi letti If they entered an Enterprise Product Key, that will expire because the Enterprise version is a volume licence and that licence must be re-armed on a regular basis from your company servers.
The Enterprise version never activated to begin with. It was the IT folks that were trying. The laptop never left the building until they got tired of trying to figure it out.
Hi letti, due to what they have done, your only option is a clean install of Windows 10 Pro. Since they caused this, have your IT department wither Reset Windows or clean install the Pro version your system is licenced for. Sumit Independent Advisor Independent Advisor. You would have to do a clean install of Windows as downgrading editions is not possible.

I am just trying to be educated a bit. In reply to letti's post on September 1, I gave up. Just in case though, I kept an image of the non working Enterprise installation. Thank you to all.
